Inside Out Film Festival

The Inside Out Film Festival has made a space for 2SLGBTQ+ filmmakers since 1991, right in line with Toronto’s diverse blend of international cultures and identities. It’s one of the largest queer film festivals in North America, typically running for over a week with over a hundred screenings projected to tens of thousands of attendees — not to mention panel discussions, art installations and afterparties that bring together the intersection of the gay, trans, cinephile and artistic communities.

This year some of the best things to see at Inside Out Film Festival run the gamut from tales of an Indigenous two-spirit genderqueer teenager to Canadian mumblecore to a documentary about the band Fanny. The festival takes place in person and online this year.
