Explore six distinguished venues awarded with the Rainbow Registered accreditation from Canada’s 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC).
Toronto is considered one of the most queer-friendly cities in the world. And the province of Ontario is home to over 175 nationally accredited Rainbow Registered businesses, thanks to Canada’s 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce, which evaluates companies based on set of stringent standards to ensure queer employees and customers feel safe, welcome and accepted. Here are six business event venues in Toronto that have received the designation.
1. Exhibition Place
Established in 1879 and located on the shores of Lake Ontario, the award-winning Exhibition Place is Canada’s largest entertainment venue. The site hosts 1,760+ events annually and plays a vital role in Toronto and Ontario's economy, serving as a hub for conventions, sports, festivals and tourism. It features the award-winning LEED Platinum Enercare Centre, Canada’s largest exhibition and convention centre, along with the LEED Silver conference venue, the Beanfield Centre.
“As the home of many of Toronto’s top festivals and events, we are thrilled to see such a large and dynamic organization demonstrate their clear commitment to 2SLGBTQI+ inclusion.”
