Meet Meghan Yuri Young

Toronto media personality, wellness consultant and mental health advocate Meghan Yuri Young’s proudest title is “dog mom” to her two Frenchies. When she’s not advocating for marginalized communities, you might spot Meghan running (literally) around the city or immersing herself in all things creative, especially Toronto’s art spaces. Find her on Instagram at @meghanyuriyoung.

Secret Toronto spot: The speakeasy-vibe bar behind Cry Baby Gallery on Dundas Street West. It opens into an alley and is close to local treasures in terms of food, shops and more.

  1. Favourite Toronto neighbourhood: My favourite has always been by the Waterfront stretching from The Beaches all the way to the west through Harbourfront to Trillium Park. There is something both peacefully removed and easily accessible that you feel by being by the lake. Not to mention all the things you can do while surrounded by nature!
  2. Describe Toronto in three words: Growing. Diverse. Fun.
  3. Favourite time of year in Toronto: I love all seasons (I really do). There’s something special about coming out of hibernation and experiencing the joy of sunshine and warmth. And when the weather starts to cool after a hot, humid summer that was packed with things to do, we actually look forward to the shift. So I appreciate every moment in Toronto.
