Meet Toronto Insider: Simu Liu

Simu Liu is a proudly Toronto-raised actor and author. He is widely known for his roles as Shang-Chi in Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, as well as Jung Kim in the Canadian sitcom Kim’s Convenience. 

Toronto’s theatre and art scene have played a major role in the launch of Simu’s career. While he appreciates the city for many reasons (world-class restaurants and top-tier sports teams to name a few), Simu's favourite thing about Toronto is its people.
