Toronto is a fun city for families and many Toronto hotels welcome kids with smiles (some even have presents).

There are plenty of things to do in Toronto with kids of all ages and there are Toronto hotels to suit every need, budget and preference. If you’re looking for the best family-friendly hotels in Toronto, here are a few of my favourite Toronto hotels that make it easy for families to create memories in the city.

Family-friendly hotels in downtown Toronto

Chelsea Hotel

Centrally located near Yonge-Dundas Square, the Chelsea Toronto Hotel is probably the best family hotel in downtown Toronto for those with kids under 12 years of age.

Not only is there a dedicated check-in area for young kids, but there’s an indoor pool with a corkscrew slide, resident bunnies and a gaming lounge! Their family fun suites even have toys, two bedrooms and a separate living room with a full kitchenette and a pull-out couch, making it great for larger families and groups.

The Anndore House

If you’re travelling with teens who appreciate one-of-a-kind experiences, The Anndore House is calling your name. Located near Yonge and Bloor and a short distance from the Bloor-Yorkville Village, this boutique property has a creative soul and is close by to art galleries, shopping, restaurants and museums.

From the artwork to the vinyl records in each room, there’s a personal touch. In addition to the lovely seating area in each room, the hotel also has a fantastic restaurant on-site and a barber shop too. The Anndore House is perfect for teens who enjoy culture!

Intercontinental Toronto Centre

For the cutest in-room setup for families, look no further than the InterContinental Toronto Centre. When you book a family getaway package, you get to enjoy the suite life with an in-room movie and snacks.

The hotel does have an indoor saline pool and is located near the CN Tower and Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre

When it comes to budget-friendly Toronto hotels, the Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre is a great option. Not only is it conveniently located within walking distance of the Eaton Centre and Nathan Phillips Square, but they also have suites.

Budget-conscious visitors to the city will also appreciate that up to two kids (11 years and under) eat for free when there’s an adult ordering from the main menu at any Holiday Inn on-site restaurant. Oh, if you’re wondering, yes they have a pool too!

Four Seasons Toronto

If your kids love being in the limelight, the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto will shine the light on them brightly. Located near popular Toronto attractions like the Royal Ontario Museum, The Bata Shoe Museum and the Gardiner Museum, this hotel pays attention to the little details.

Their family-centric offerings include a welcome gift for young guests and freshly baked cookies and milk. This family-friendly Toronto hotel also has complimentary baby and children's toiletries in addition to plush child-size bathrobes. Families can also enjoy a movie night with snacks and popcorn in the comfort of their hotel rooms.

Toronto Don Valley Hotel & Suites

Perhaps the downtown life isn’t what you’re looking for or perhaps you want to be closer to the Aga Khan Museum

Close to east-end attractions, the Toronto Don Valley Hotel is a great option for families. Not only is it a budget-friendly Toronto hotel, but it also has a gorgeous indoor pool and, in the summers, an outdoor one too!

It’s easy to embrace the relaxing vibes when you’re staying at this Toronto hotel where many rooms have private balconies that overlook the lush gardens.

Hilton Toronto

If you’re visiting in the winter or looking for an indoor and outdoor pool that’s open all year long, this is where you want to stay in Toronto. There’s certainly something magical about an outdoor swim during a Toronto snowfall!

Located in downtown Toronto the Hilton Toronto is within walking distance of the Eaton Centre and trendy Queen West. You’re also close by to some of my favourite family-friendly Toronto patios!

Willowdale Hotel

Travelling as a large family isn’t always easy and finding accommodations can be challenging. This is why Willowdale’s Triple Queen Family Suite, with three beds, is a great option for those with more than two children. You also have a kitchenette if you’re not in the mood to enjoy the great patios in the area

The hotel is located in North York and is close to many shopping malls, the Mel Lastman Square and the Meridian Arts Centre.
