The WongAvery Asia Pacific Peace Museum (APPM) is the first English-language museum in the world to detail the entire history of the Second World War in Asia through the lens of humanity and peace education. At its core, the APPM is about people. The APPM focuses on lesser-known civilian stories, working to humanize those in history who have long been dehumanized. More importantly, it is a museum which uses stories of resilience and courage to advocate for a world without war. The APPM uncovers a historical episode that is largely unknown, yet still has significant impact on peace-building efforts and reconciliation in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. The APPM is open to the general public, and welcomes school and group visits to come to learn, to grow, and to help cultivate a global peace movement.
