Grand prize includes a weekend for two in Toronto; Charitable component to raise up to $13K for local children’s music school
Toronto, October 23, 2024 – In anticipation of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Toronto this November, Destination Toronto has launched a Toronto (Taylor's Version) Scavenger Hunt Contest, with song clues leading to iconic locations throughout the city. With each clue solved, scavenger hunt participants are entered into a contest for a grand prize weekend getaway in Toronto, while their involvement will also help support a charitable donation of up to $13,000 to the Community Music Schools of Toronto.
“As Swifties solve song clues, they will also discover iconic city landmarks, cultural attractions, urban green spaces and more,” said Andrew Weir, CEO & President at Destination Toronto. “When fans truly explore our city, more communities and businesses benefit from that visitor spending."
Are you Ready For It?
Running from now until November 29, 2024, fans sign up for a digital pass at Toronto (Taylor’s Version) Scavenger Hunt Contest. Following sign up, Swifties can solve thirteen clues inspired by Taylor Swift’s lyrics and check-in on the digital pass once they are in the vicinity of the city landmark. Every check-in near a clue location unlocks an entry into the raffle.
The grand prize for the scavenger hunt features a weekend getaway for two at the historic Fairmont Royal York in Toronto, dinner at the 360 Restaurant atop the CN Tower, and a $500 gift card for CF Toronto Eaton Centre. Additionally, a weekly prize will be awarded offering winners a curated Taylor Swift-themed gift box.
It’s Nice to Have a Friend
Each check-in will also help raise funds for Community Music Schools of Toronto (formerly Regent Park School of Music), a charitable organization that provides free music lessons, instruments, and social development programs to children aged 4 to 18 in Toronto. Destination Toronto will donate $7,000 to the school, and for every check-in during the scavenger hunt, an additional $50 will be donated up to a maximum of $13,000. A track recorded by the school’s students was sampled in Taylor’s song, Nice to Have a Friend, off her Lover album.
