You’ll see badges added to businesses on our listing pages. The badges are a symbol of certification. Click on the listing and open the Amenities tab to view the business’s certifications.

Certifications are granted by impartial third-party organizations that audit and validate the business’s claims.

Eco-Sustainable Listings Badge

Eco-sustainable

Toronto businesses with our eco-sustainable badge on their listing have been certified for positive environmental practices by one of the third-party organizations below. These certifications have standardized criteria endorsed by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council and/or the Global Destination Sustainability Index.

Please note that certifications granted by hotel chains (such as IHG Green Engage and Accor Planet 21) are not included, as they are not independently verified.
